In dieser Sendung sprechen wir über den Ramadan, der für Muslime auf der ganzen Welt eine besondere Zeit mit eigenen Traditionen und Bräuchen ist. Um die Traditionen des Ramadans besser kennenzulernen, begeben wir uns zuerst auf eine kleine Reise nach Damaskus.
Aber wie ist die Atmosphäre im Ramadan hier in Berlin? Um das herauszufinden waren wir in ganz unterschiedlichen Bezirken unterwegs wie Marzahn, Neukölln und Spandau. Wir haben dort mit Inhabern und Kund*innen arabischer Läden über ihre Erfahrungen mit dem Ramadan in ihrer Nachbarschaft gesprochen.

في هذا البرنامج نتحدث عن شهر رمضان، الذي يُعدّ وقتًا مميزًا للمسلمين في جميع أنحاء العالم، وله تقاليده وعاداته الخاصة. وللتعرّف بشكل أفضل على تقاليد رمضان، نبدأ أولًا برحلة قصيرة إلى دمشق.
ولكن كيف تكون الأجواء في رمضان هنا في برلين؟ لمعرفة ذلك، تجوّلنا في أحياء مختلفة مثل مارزان، نويكولن وسبانداو. وتحدثنا هناك مع أصحاب ومتسوقي المتاجر العربية عن تجاربهم مع رمضان في مناطقهم.

In this episode, we’ll be talking about Ramadan, a special time for Muslims around the world, with its own traditions and customs. To learn more about Ramadan traditions, we’ll first take a short trip to Damascus.
But what’s the atmosphere like during Ramadan here in Berlin? To find out, we visited a variety of neighborhoods, including Marzahn, Neukölln, and Spandau. There, we spoke with owners and customers of Arab shops about their experiences with Ramadan in their neighborhoods.
